Napa & Sonoma Valley Fire Victims Charity Dinner

Sunday, October 22nd 2017 at 7:00pm

Hello Friends,

It’s with a heavy heart I begin this letter as I review the latest details on the fires raging in California. As wine aficionados and restaurateurs we have very strong ties with the California wine industry and count many amongst them as our friends. I myself had just returned from a thoroughly enjoyable bike trip through the Napa and Sonoma Valleys and cannot believe the lovely scenery I had just experienced is now ravaged by wildfire. Here I am cycling through the Russian River Valley in Sonoma this past June:

Russian River Valley Bicycle Trip
The only sensible reaction we could muster was: “What can we do to help?” So, in addition to the 6-course wine dinner we have some additional surprises added to the evening. We will attempt to comfortability seat as many guests as we can due to the special nature of this event. We ask that all guests please bring a bottle of wine per person for donation.  We will be selling raffle tickets and raffling off each bottle of wine brought in by our guests. In addition to the raffle we will be having a silent auction of collectable and unique bottles. All proceeds from the dinner, raffle and silent auction will be provided to assist The Napa and Sonoma Valley Fire Victims- specifically The Napa and Sonoma County Fire Relief and The Redwood Empire Food Bank.

Please join us for this special charity event and help us in giving back.

Drink Well,
John Bates
